Tarporley Parish Church

Young Church

Everyone is warmly welcome at all services

and we have some specific child centred activities.

ST HELEN’S

Our Open Worship Service, is held on the first Sunday of every month at 10am.

This is a shorter non-communion service for everyone with hymns and stories, songs activities and prayer.

At every other Sunday morning 10am service we share communion. Children are welcome to stay in Church throughout (we have a family area with tables chairs, books, jigsaws and colouring) or join in with our separate child centred activities: Light Keepers.

The group is called Light Keepers referencing the idea that we are all asked, whatever our age, not to hide Christ's light under bushels but keep it burning strong for all to see (Matthew 5:15).

The Light Keepers group leave for the choir vestry early in the service and return before the Eucharistic Prayer which we share together so the whole church shares communion and blessing together.

Parents are welcome to come too and we do ask them to stay if the children are very young.

Families are welcome to sit anywhere in the church although there is a dedicated family area at the front.

Toilet facilities are available in the Done Room (the Church Hall).

ST THOMAS’

Our Open Worship Service, is held on the first Sunday of every month at 9am.

There is an area with table and chairs, toys and colouring available for small children.

ST JOHN’S

The next meeting is at 4 pm on Sunday  11th February 2018 in The Done Room.

Messy Church is an afternoon of games, crafts, art, storytelling and cooking for families of all ages. We move over to the church for a story and song before returning to share a cooked tea.

It's free and it's fun!

SPECIAL SERVICES at times like Christmas, Easter, and Harvest, for all ages, can be found on the Calendar page.

SCHOOLS

St Helen’s maintains close links with the schools in the parish. Pupils from the schools celebrate the major festivals and important moments in the life of the school with services at St Helen's.
